SavedVault is an application designed for saving and organizing your messages in any format, including text, audio, video, and images. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your data when you use our service.

Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: To use SavedVault, you must create an account. We currently support authentication via Google OAuth. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and avatar from your Google account.
- User Content: We collect and store the messages, files, and other content you save to the app ("Saved Messages"). This content is stored securely to allow you to access it from multiple devices.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: We collect a unique device identifier (specifically,
Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID), device model, and operating system version. This allows us to sync your data across your multiple devices and provide a seamless experience. - IP Address: We log user IP addresses for security, logging, and troubleshooting purposes.
- Usage Analytics: Through services like Google Analytics, we collect aggregated, anonymized data about how users interact with our app, such as feature usage and session duration.
- Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect information about app crashes, which may include device state information, to help us identify and fix bugs.
Use of Collected Data
The data we collect is used for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To store, organize, and sync your Saved Messages across your devices as you have requested.
- Account Management: To authenticate you, manage your account, and provide customer support.
- Service Improvement: To understand how our users interact with the app, identify and fix bugs, and enhance app functionality and user experience.
- Security and Troubleshooting: To monitor for security issues, prevent fraud, and resolve technical problems.
Third-Party Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, we do use third-party service providers to help us operate our app, and we may share data with them for the specific purposes outlined below:
- Cloud Storage: Your Saved Messages and account data are stored on a secure, S3-compatible cloud service. This provider is responsible for the physical and network security of the servers.
- Authentication: We use Google OAuth for user sign-in. Your authentication is handled directly by Google.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to help us understand app usage. This service collects and processes data according to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Crash Reporting: We use Firebase Crashlytics to report on app crashes. Data is handled in accordance with Firebase's privacy practices.
These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
User Rights and Data Retention
- Data Retention: As SavedVault is intended for long-term storage of your messages, we retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and all of your Saved Messages will be permanently deleted from our systems. Log data is retained for a period of 6 months for troubleshooting purposes.
- User Rights: You have the right to access and delete your data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app or by contacting us at our support email.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and employ various measures to protect it, including:
- HTTPS and SSL/TLS to encrypt data in transit.
- Encryption of your stored data at rest.
- Secured internal traffic and access controls for our databases.
Children’s Privacy
SavedVault is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it immediately.
International Users
Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. By using SavedVault, you consent to this transfer.
